Mars Type PRO (7 fonts)

Mars Type PRO font family is a development of free font Mars Type (2019). The new version consists of 6 font styles and a variable font. The metrics in the typefaces are made so that the text has the same length in different weights. This principle is called Uniwidth and is useful when working with UI-design and navigation. For example, if you change the boldness of the text on a button or pointer, the length of the inscription will not change. Mars Type PRO has open shapes and other features that increase its distinctiveness and readability. This typeface is ideal for wayfinding and interfaces in a future Martian Colony as well as on Earth. The main feature of the font is the special shape of the ovals (a perfect circle on the outside, a "porthole" on the inside) and the correspondence of the angle of some characters, such as slash, to the Mars axis of rotation tilt – 25.19°. Vertical slices of open counters, as in Futura and Gill Sans, allow the new typeface to be as compact as humanistic sans serifs while maintaining its geometric (technological) character. 50% of money from sales of this typeface we donate to the Armed Forces of Ukraine!
