Ukrainian Barokko is a calligraphic typeface. It combines the best traditions of Ukrainian Cyrillic cursive handwriting (Skoropys) of the end of the 17th century and European humanist cursives of that time with a contemporary interpretation by Gennady Zarechnyuk.
The current version of the font contains Cyrillic, Latin, as well as Greek codepages.
It has OpenType features, alternate glyphs and ligatures. The font includes two styles of numerals: lining (or modern) and minuscule oldstyle figures.
Special mention should be made of the presence of initial forms of uppercase letters (for the beginning of a line), which are enabled by the Swash button on the Character palette.
The font Ukrainian Baroque was awarded the 1st prize in the category of display fonts in the Ukrainian typeface competition Ruthenia in 2011.
The typeface was designed by Genadij Zarechnyuk in 2010.
