Rutenia (Updated) is the exquisite typeface in 4 font styles. It was inspired by the iconic artwork "Graphic of Ukrainian Alphabet" by the famous Ukrainian calligrapher and book graphic Vasyl Yakovych Chebanyk. Straight and Italic styles of Rutenia, perfectly work in display matter and short texts. Decorability, expressiveness and variability will help in creating logotypes. Some solemnity and Ukrainian temperament will be useful for greeting postcards, diplomas, dedications and invitations. Extended Latin and standard Cyrillic (modern Slavic languages) will allow you to make texts in dozens of languages. This typeface is unique because Vasyl Yakovych presented some letters of Ukrainian alphabet that look close to the original traditional forms that were somewhat distorted by the reform of Peter I. After which the current Ukrainian Cyrillic alphabet has many incorrect and awkward letters, although we are already accustomed to them. For example, the points at the top and bottom of letter O are the elements used in the Glagolitic alphabet, which preceded the Cyrillic script. The typeface was designed by Victor Kharik and Gennady Zarechnyuk in 2017 based on the ideas and with the approval of Vasyl Chebanyk. Updated versions with OpenType features and bold styles were created with the technical support of Andrij Shevchenko and Konstantin Golovchenko in 2019.
