Lisboa (8 fonts)

An informal Gothic typeface for all occasions when it is appropriate: from advertising (music, traditional European drinks and snacks, youth informal movements, historical and fantasy films, etc.) to exquisite book design (despite all the historical exoticism and roughness the font is satisfactorily read in body text, while creating a unique aftertaste of the Middle Ages). Separately, it is worth mentioning the Cyrillic alphabet: making it organic is very difficult! For centuries, with varying success, type designers have worked on this. The author of Lisboa font collected and analyzed a huge material and identified the optimal solutions for graphemes of purely Cyrillic letters. Gothic for Europe is a living history, like historical buildings – sometimes it’s partially ruined, and sometimes quite capable working buildings, which play a significant role in modern life. Gothic font contrasts with almost all other font groups, and on this basis goes well with almost all of them – from exquisite or informal cursives to modern grotesques. The typeface was designed by Viktor Kharyk in 2019-2020.
